While the site is utorrent, the app is actually pronounced mi-torrent. The “u” of utorrent, isn’t a “u” at all.

Ahhh, not really.
Just because it’s this russian chracter, doesn’t mean it’s supposed to be pronounced that way.

Also, the μ also means Micro. Which they touted as “a (very) tiny BitTorrent client” so…

Pretty sure it’s “Micro Torrent” but who cares. uTorrent is just fine.
